I recently received digital copies of the death certificates of Mary Hyne and Susanna Hyne from the General Registry Office. These took much longer than usual to receive, likely on account of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Other than the actual causes of death, the only other big revelation from the certificates was that under “Rank or profession” both stated “Daughter of Nicholas Hyne”. I had already theorized that their parents where Nicholas and Susanna of Blackawton, Devon, England, but until now this was based only of their relative ages, and the fact that I knew from their wills that they had a brother named John Hyne. I believe they also had a brother name Nicholas Hyne (or Nicolas) but I have no clear idea yet of what became of him.
