John Hyne was the son of Nicholas Hyne, a yeoman, and his wife Susanna. He was baptized in Blackawton, Devon, England on March 8, 17751Source.
John married Grace and had at least four children: Charles Hyne, Louisa Hyne, Harry Hyne and William Elias Hyne, all baptized in East Portlemouth, Devon, England. I believe that there were three other children, baptized in other parishes in Devon, England but this is currently only a hunch. I am still searching for additional evidence.
I am not yet sure when John died, but his sister Mary Hyne‘s 1855 will and his sister Susanna Hyne‘s 1856 will both refer to him as their late brother John.
