Emma Rebecca Smith was born November 11, 1854 to William Everett Smith and his wife Emma (born Taylor). She was baptized December 9, 1855 at Saint Peter’s Church, Pimlico, London, England.
In the 1861 census of England, Emma is living with her parents (both servants) in the home of Dr. Joseph Skey. Also present is her year old brother, Joseph Skey Smith.
Marriage and Family
Emma married Harry Hyne on October 11, 1879 at Christ Church, St. Marylebone, Middlesex, England.
Together they had four children: Harry Everett Hyne (1880), Charles Carruthers Hyne (1882), Noel Hyne (1885) and Grace Isabel Hyne (1891).
Death
